In the following articles, I will analyze everything that you see on the main page. At top of the page, you can search for my team’s name (billgkrtips) and you contact me from the message section if you want any more help for the game. There is a forum section where you can find useful information about the game and also chat rooms to interact with the other players.

Team popularity in GoalTycoon

At the top left of the home page, under your team’s name, you will find your Popularity points.

Popularity is the most important factor in GoalTycoon. The higher the popularity the higher will be your income. Higher popularity entails more ticket paying fans that will come to your team’s games. Therefore, your club will be making more money. The number of ticket paying supporters coming to the Stadium is determined by your club’s popularity and the popularity of the opposing club.

The Popularity decreases when your team loses matches and when the supporters are not pleased with the Stadium’s ticket prices. Also, Popularity increases depending on the facilities of your Club Park, the parking places, the administrative building, and the commodities of the Stadium, meaning the quality of the Pitch, of the Roof, of the Nocturnals.

The Popularity decreases with up to 5% if the ticket prices are too high. Also, if your team wins a match the popularity grows by 1%, and if the team loses that game, the popularity decreases by 1.5%. If the match ends in a draw, the team with the higher popularity will lose 1% of its popularity and the team with the lower popularity will have it increased by 0.5%.

Finally, The popularity decreases by 5% for every match that your Teams scoring is lower than your popularity.

If the general scoring is lower than the popularity a penalty of 5% to the popularity is applied to every match, whether home or away. The penalty applies before the match.

In addition, you get a Popularity bonus when you make investments in the game, depending on the amount invested, as follows:

  • Between 18 and 44 Euro = 4 points for popularity.
  • Between 45 and 89 Euro = 12 points of popularity.
  • Between 90 and 474 Euro = 26 points for popularity.
  • Between 475 and 999 Euro = 150 points for popularity.
  • Over 1000 Euro = 300 points of popularity.

The maximum popularity you can achieve is dependent on the league you are playing, as follows:

  • For the 1st League – maximum of 1500 popularity
  • For the 2nd league – maximum of 1000 popularity
  • For the 3rd league – maximum of 750 popularity
  • For the 4th league and the rest of the leagues – maximum 500 popularity

TIP:  You can buy 100 popularity at a cost of 20 Euro. You can benefit from this pack once every three months, through resellers.
